Manuel Carbone

Electro-acoustic, Field Recording – From Naples, based in Berlin

Manuel Carbone is a sound experimentalist and noise artist from Naples, currently based in Berlin.

In his practice he combines found and synthesized sounds, field recordings, and cassette tapes, often exploring themes of memory and recollection, focussing on the raw edges of acousmatic music, using errors, glitches, and distortions as core material.

Manuel Carbone curates “Continuoussoundscontinuous” on Radio WORM (Rotterdam) and hosts “Astrazioni” on Radio Alhara (Bethlehem).

His solo and collaborative work has been released via Adventurous Music, Dragon’s Eye Recordings, Falt, Steep Gloss, and Minimal Resource Manipulations.
