ULTRAROUGE is a new Berlin-based cassette label focused on emerging artists working at the intersection of composed and freely improvised
music, as well as carefully selected reissues and archival live recordings of rare or exceptional character.

The inaugural edition brings together three artists whose work moves between drone, experimental electronic music, ambient, and more
eclectic, slightly obscure folk-inspired sounds.

Each artist contributes one cassette, with all three releases appearing simultaneously as the label’s curated first edition.

She is an improviser, a sculptor and an occasional instrumentalist.

Her style can most easily be described as the moment when a hiss or a dry loop becomes complex information, an accentuated pattern – or, if necessary, a breakbeat.
