BALD CHEWBACCA (Electronic/IT)
Bald Chewbacca is the electronic conversion of singer-songwriter Angelo Romano. Inspired by his formation years in Berlin, the Netherlands and Barcelona, the project is a blend of groovy distorted bass lines, minimalist lyrics on vocoder and an eclectic mix of synthesisers, drone sounds and a FM radio bought at a nearby Chinese convenience shop. Free-form songs, continuously changing and evolving, are nothing more but the result of this unlikely encounter between a Sicilian folk-rock singer, a cheap electric bass and the magic world of keys, knobs and laptops.
