I-TAKI MAKI (Alt-Indie/IT)
I-Taki Maki is an Italian Alt-Indie Duo, formed in 2012, based in Berlin since July 2015.
Their music features a melding of alternative rock, slowcore, post-punk and blues influences, typified by minimal arrangement, warm voices, deep emotional sound.Â
Their last fourth album, âA Place to Leaveâ, has been released at the beginning of January 2018. The album is made up of nine songs, all based on the concept of âplaceâ and each one connected to the next by a âfil rougeâ.Â
Few months later, âA Place to Leaveâ has been augmented with a book, “Closer” a collection of short stories about migration, roots, homeland, but also love and friendship among six young characters, all finding shelter in Berlin. A narrative about migration and the need to open ourselves to the ever-changing realities we face in a multicultural environments.Â
Both, the book and the album, in fact, are dedicated to the ones who found their safe place, and to the ones who are still looking for it.Â
Available on Amazon in English and Italian language.Â

WHO IS AFRAID OF THE BIG BAD WOLF? (Folk/DE)
Cologne-based duo "Who is afraid of the big bad Wolf? around singer/songwriter Wolfgang A. Noethen and Hanna Beul, combines with cello, guitar and glockenspiel melancholy, spherical sounds, Folk pop and catchy melodies with unobtrusive earworm quality. A famous german music journalist wrote âThis music is touching anyone who has a heart for radiantly beautiful melodies and noticing exactly when, in the midst of this beauty, a certain Abysmal fatigue lurks. You think of The Go-Betweens, the thought of The Smiths is not far off either. Songs with such fine melodies and adequate arrangements do not get many people.â
