Raised in the English hills, Jem Kid read and wrote obsessively, surrounded by the songs of campfires and cathedrals. Now he has joined forces with fellow Brit Alex McKenzie, a wonderful pianist with a searingly honest voice. The duo performs with the flourish of classical music without every losing the raw urgency of folk.
