Folk, Pop, Folk-Rock, Alternative – Berlin/The Soil/The Reed

Schilf is a playful german music project founded by musician and songwriter Sören Neun, taking inspiration from the Liedermacher tradition as well as german alternative music like Brannten Schnüre, Einstürzende Neubauten and Britta.

Jangly percussion, freak-folk guitars and Steve Reich – adjacent piano playing are simmering together to form a hefty stew.

With the lyrics being weirdly vague and referential, images slowly build and sometimes morph into something you wouldn’t have thought of.

Picture a school band with the kids not taking their craft too seriously but still pouring their hearts out.

Emmanuel Hubaut is a french singer and musician who has recorded a dozen albums and who has performed the world over with his different bands (Les Tétines Noires, LTNO, Dead Sexy, EHB, Pest Modern).

A diverse range of approaches to music, born out of an open attitude to unlikely and unclassifiable experimentations.

His Dj selector activity reflects his various tastes in music and subculture.

We recently saw him mixing for Laura Krieg, Patriarchy, Kompromat, Aux Animaux, Bound by Endogamy, Bracco, Leroy Se Meurt…concerts.
