Isuru Kumarasinghe

Experimental/Drone – Sri lanka

Isuru Kumarasinghe is a musician and sound artist from Sri Lanka and is a fellow of the DAAD Artists-in-Berlin Program 2025.

His practice spans electro-acoustic composition, improvisation, field recording, sound installation, and performance, grounded in an attentive listening practice that foregrounds perception, movement, and the relationship between sound and the body.

Through building his own tools and instruments, he translates his reflections of and inquiries into listening, into sonic and physical experience, while maintaining a critical stance toward dominant musical narratives that marginalize local practices in Sri Lanka and South Asia.

Forrest Gimp (DJ-Set)

In his mixes, Forrest Gimp’s goal is to create a common thread between eclectic and uncategorised tracks that despite their differences share a certain aesthetic.
