A fusion of traditional folk, own songs and experimental sounds on banjo / Originally from South Carolina, currently in Tampere, Finland

L. Don Ōkami is the nom de banjo of Tampere transplant Don Lupo from South Carolina via Switzerland, Germany, Japan and Ireland.

After many years focusing on traditional music from the southern US, he has started exploring the space between traditional folk music, drones, noise and banjo with the aid of loops, effects and collaborators.

His first solo album “Judgement Day in Pyynikki” was released on Hulina Records in 2018, with his second “Banjo Machine Music” expected to be released this year.

His performances are musical journeys weaving between hard-core traditional Appalachian folk, own songs in a similar style, and trance-inducing banjo instrumentals supplemented by loops and effects.

Wild Anima is a French-Greek artist who fuses ancient melodies reminiscent of mermaid like choirs on layers of mystical vocal loops to create ethereal, tender and organic music.

Wild Anima is the musical project of Alex Alexopoulos, sound artist, singer and sound healer.

Through experimental ambient pop, she explores the deep feminine and the intimate relationship between humans and nature.

In her latest album Phytosynthesis, she captures the essence of plants by translating their bioelectric signals into secret symphonies, revealing a sensory harmony between the plant world and music.
