An autonomous robot living in a computer generates rhythms of extra-human complexity, designed to make the most deformed audience move.

Like a sequencer with its own agency, this entity explores the limits of the the loop by superimposing independent and evolving patterns that escape traditional metrics.

The program also shapes each sound, choosing samples, configuring synthesizers and defining pitch, duration and effects.

The performance is a continuous improvisation and negotiation between the machine and the human attempting to control it.

Lukatoyboy

Lukatoyboy is a sound artist, performer and publisher from Belgrade, currently based between Berlin and Austin.

His practice is based on performances dealing with networks, sound and narrative, using walkie talkies and site specific topics.

While incorporating residential solitude and transmitted intimacy in rural areas, he started to develop a new series of works questioning cultural hybridity as an imposed premise in forms of performances, text or audio guides.

He is currently researching alternative methods of listening, using architecture and distance as tools for discovery, as well as approaches to live broadcast of interpretation and real-time object evaluation, in forms of auction performances.
