DuChamp

Drone – Italy, Germany

DuChamp is an Italian scientist, musician and curator based in Berlin, religiously devoted to drone.

She released albums for Boring Machines (“Nar”), Idiosyncratics (“Sculpture”), Full Body Massage (“A Blazing World”).

Since 2017, aside baritone guitar and keys, DuChamp incorporate real field recordings in her music, related to her personal memory, into her drone compositions, by adding layers of sounds and noise in attempt to recreate some kind of apophonias.

Gil Joy & The Danger Birds

Experimental Rock / Denmark

GIL JOY & THE DANGER BIRDS is a Copenhagen musician based in Berlin.

He released his debut album in 2021 and is currently in the studio doing a follow up and will play much of that material this evening.

The music is experimental rock with some Musique concrète and raw drum and percussive loops to vocals and crackling loud electric guitars.

In his mixes, Forest Gimp’s goal is to create a common thread between eclectic and uncategorised tracks that despite their differences share a certain aesthetic. This aesthetic usually consists of a head/body moving groove, dirty/distorted sounds and a cinematic mood.
