Deniz Dortok

Contemporary Classical/Electronic/Experimental – London

Deniz Dortok is a London-based composer and performer whose work explores repetition, gesture, and the shifting relationships between tone, texture, and form. His approach often draws on ideas of narrativity and storytelling, shaping sound through ebb and flow, freedom and constraint.

Influenced by artists such as Okkyung Lee and Ruth Goller, his recent performances focus on the electric bass as both instrument and resonant object, a site for exploring small cells and harmonic fragments through detuning, bowing, and layering, blended with subtle degrees of theatricality.

For this set, he presents new works by himself, Sofia Kiviniemi, and Thomas Shorthouse, framed by fragments from his upcoming EP nocturna (renatura), a reflection on darkness, light pollution, and the quiet disturbances to our nocturnal world.

Berenice Llorens

Berenice Llorens (AR) is a Berlin-based composer, guitarist and experimental artist.

In her practice, Llorens takes sounds from nature, the city, and machines and reinterprets them to create evolving sonic ecosystems.

Llorens transforms space into a territory on which sound material flows and changes over time through constantly mutating loops.

She will present the extended version of “”Reforestación Mutante/Scinax””, exploring the cycles of destruction and growth in ecosystems altered by human intervention.
