Bob Bleedy 

Synth pop, electro pop / Born in Prague, based in Berlin

Bob Bleedy is the synthpop project of the Berlin-based artist-producer Robert Kriz.

Growing up in Prague listening to bands, but also with the technology that replaced them, his music often revolves around unresolved conflicts.

His debut album ‘Codependers’ (2022), dubbed ‘Trauma Pop’ by Prague Radio 1, is a collection of energetic Lordesque pop songs and sad introspective lyrics about the dependence of his own sense of self on others.

Exploiting the vast ocean of options on the internet for self expression, Bob Bleedy is stuck in the nostalgic search for the origins of his identity in musical contexts that never could have been his home: the synths sounds of the late night drive in the 80s, programmed drum samples from the urban genres playing pop rock rhythms, or grunge like distortion with more often than not no electric guitar being played.

Despite Bleedy’s conflicts remain unresolved it is as if something in the music spoke the word: hope.

He explores vulnerability through the expressive nature of hip hop.
