Anton Barbeau, a Sacramento native and lifelong songwriter, has released nearly 40 albums, and has worked with members of XTC, Cake, The Pretenders, The Soft Boys and the Bevis Frond.

Popmatters says of him, simply, “Anton Barbeau is one of the best unknown pop singer-songwriters in the world, period.”

After living abroad for 15 years, first in the UK and then in Berlin, Barbeau has returned to California, and now lives on his wife’s small town family farm.

Jesko started performing and writing music as a teenager in Berlin.

Originally a drummer, he adopted the language of song, using fingers, strings and sighs.

The sound of his upcoming LP ‘QUI VA ME FAIRE RIRE?’ is shaped by the use of old analogue tape machines and revolves around the housing crisis, debt and desire.
